Faithful in the little things

May 30, 2012 By: Jim Montesano Series: Genesis Scripture: Genesis 37:2-11
Joseph has two dreams that relate to his preeminence over his unfaithful brothers. The dreams were like fuel on the fire with Joseph’s brothers hatred! It increased all the more to it’s fullness. Joseph was faithful in the little things, which will in turn lead to greater authority given to Joseph, which leads to Joseph being the leader of Egypt, second only to Pharaoh himself! Compare this to his brother’s unfaithfulness to their father Jacob, and their hatred of young Joseph. In our application we looked first at dreams and their working in the life of the Christian today. Are we to look at this text as a blanket affirmation that we are to do what Joseph had done with his dream? – I think the answer is clear. And secondly we looked to our life’s and looked within, are we faithful in the little things, or the secret things that no one sees? We hope you can join us as we search the text of Genesis together and apply what we learn to our life today.
