This is the first of two deathbed scenes that take place at the end of Jacob’s life. It’s a wonderful scene displaying Israel’s God, faith, and his blessing upon Ephraim and Manasseh. The second scene Jacob prophesies over his other children in chapter 49. We’ll look at that next time we meet.
