The doctrine of sola gratia (grace alone) sets Christianity apart from all the world’s religions and philosophies. The Reformation era saw this doctrine come back into prominence. The importance of grace alone is considered against the backdrop of the Protestant Reformation as well as today’s evangelicalism.
