James starts a new cycle in verse 12. Repeating the first theme in cycle one of trials. This section James goes much deeper than he did in verses 2-4. In verses 2-4 trials produce maturity and perseverance. But here in verses 12-18 James goes to the aspect of trials that lead to temptation. We opened up the text under three heads
