Unity in the Church in Sin City

The second of three main themes of the book of 1 Corinthians is that or unity. Paul gets right into this issue as he begins by addressing the matter of divisions that he heard about from “Chloe’s people.” The church in Corinth had misunderstood the Christian message, had a false concept of the Christian ministry, and was plagued with pride – these were the three chief reasons for the divisions in their midst. But Paul exhorted them to be perfectly united, despite their differences.
