The Gospel of Mark moves quickly from the presentation of Jesus to his temptation in the wilderness. After attaining victory there, Jesus begins his public ministry and calls his first disciples. Those disciples leave all that is familiar to them and then follow Jesus. Their example encourages us to trust the Savior wherever he may lead us.
