Man’s will is ever active, but God’s will, will be done. In this sad chapter of Genesis we see sin in the lives of all who are in it. Isaac’s will is to give the blessing to his favorite son Esau, Rebecca and Jacob scheme to see the Lord’s will done, but in a very sinful way. Esau knew the blessing wasn’t his, and that it rightfully belonged to Jacob, but nevertheless tried to receive it from Isaac. Even though all sinned in this story, God ultimate will and purposes were done. The blessing was given to the rightful heir Jacob. Listen to this story in vivid detail, and see what God is speaking to you about in your life concerning his will for you, acted on in a godly manner.
