Moses takes a stand

We’re in the 3rd study in Exodus chapter 2:11-22. Moses’ life is divided into 40 year sections. The first, as a prince in the house of Pharaoh, the 2nd, 40 years in the wilderness of Midian, which we’ll be looking at tonight, and the 3rd, which covers the rest of Exodus as Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt into the Promised Land. There’s much to glean from this section for our lives today. Times in the wilderness are meant by God to be very profitable as we are molded into the image of God. Moses spent 40 years on his journey through the wilderness, but in the end God called him to go back to that land and bring the people out – the great Exodus from Egypt through that same wilderness.
