The second half of chapter 18 ends with the intimacy of a close friend, in stark contrast to the beginning of the chapter which rebuked the antisocial isolationist. In this section, we consider the positive attributes of a good friend but realize we’ve fallen short. Praise God, however, for Christ, the friend who sticks closer than a brother!
