The Grace of God Teaches (Titus 2:11-15)

Jul 20, 2022 Topic: Sermon Devotional Series: Guest Speaker Scripture: Titus 2:11-15

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. (Titus 2:11-15).

The law of God teaches us. It teaches us that we can’t save ourselves. We desperately need a Savior. Even as believers, redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus, the law tells us what our loving heavenly Father’s good and pleasing will is, but it still has no ability to empower us to do it. Where do we go for help to live a godly life?
If you’re doing fine following all of the exhortations to live a godly life found in the N.T., if you’re not interested in knowing the God-breathed, inspired, teaching on how to tap into the resources and motivation God has provided for poor sinners through His Son Jesus Christ, then by all means zone out and take a nap during the message this coming Sunday afternoon.

But if you’re like me, and you are desperate to hear encouraging, empowering Words of life from the very mouth of God Himself, then pay close attention to the proclamation of the message found in Titus 2:11-15 that will be proclaimed this coming Sunday. It may just change your life completely. It may change you forever.

Join us in God’s school of sanctification as we sit under the teaching of the finest of all teachers in the kingdom of God – GRACE. According to the very word of God, the grace of God in Jesus Christ is the foundation and incentive for Christian living. Come on out this Sunday to find out how!
